Digital suiseki
Suiseki is a Japanese art of laying stones and finding deep senses in them e.g. images of mountains from a distance. In this work I use images generated by Google Street View - substitutes of traveling around the Japanese mountains. lmages are searched, processed and printed. Certain processes are repeated. New paths of objectification of the image are emerging, striving to create a static original. In the case of a traditional Suiseki, a meeting with a real object results in the creation of imaginary images. In Digital Suiseki, this process is reversed - it is a series of actions aimed at giving a materiał form to images - the representation of powerful Japanese mountains.
